Q. How can the service be accessed?
A. The service can be accessed by anyone over the age of 16 years. Contact is
usually made by a referrel proccess. This can be done by GP’s, Criminal Justice,
an Employer or clients can self-refer.

Q. Who is the service for?
A. The service can be accessed by anyone:
Over the age of 16 years People who regularly use alcohol or drugs
 People who need advice about alcohol or drugs and its effects.

Q. What type of service is offered?

A. The service that is being offered will provide:
Advice Infomation One-to-one counselling

Q. Can I change counsellor if we don’t get on?

A. Yes, arrangments can be made for the client to change counsellors if they wish.

Q. What if the counsellor knows me?
A. It is the policy of Lochaber Council on Alcohol that no counsellor will partake in any
counselling session with a client if both parties have regular contact outwith the LCA office.
